A Holistic Approach to Mental Health
Services Offered
Depression and Anxiety
Through various approaches, we will look for the root causes of an individual's discomfort and find new ways of thinking and behaving. Sometimes it is just helpful to have someone who will listen and help carry the burden that needs processing. It is comforting to know that there is someone in your corner encouraging you and giving suggestions on how to make the changes necessary for healing.
Trauma and PTSD
Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Neurofeedback are a couple of the ways that trauma can be addressed. Through EMDR, we will review difficult memories and allow the brain & body to move through the emotions & sensations allowing the individual to be less emotionally impacted & less triggered. Through neurofeedback, we train the brain to work in it's optimum frequency which helps calm the brain so that it can heal and calm the body of discomfort and help an individual feel more relaxed and remain more focused.

Feeling Overwelmed?
Through the use of Dialectial Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavior Therapy techniques, we can aid in managing difficult emotions and uncomfortable feelings by looking at situations from a different perspective while also employing various coping skills that uniquely fit an individual's personality and preferences. Neurofeedback is also offered to help calm an overactive brain and mind to bring about a greater sense of calm and order.
Relationship Issues
Using the SYMBIS assessment, a couple can find areas in their relationship that need improvement and guidance in improving communications and intimacy. While I don't like playing referee, I love walking motivated couples through the process of identifying maladaptive communication styles and offer suggestions on how to forge a deep, healthy love with one another.
Grief & Loss
A compassionate counseling approach is used in the event a client is grieving a loss and needs a space to process it. Compassion and patience with the grieving process is key and needs to be handled with care and gentleness.
